College Tour


The College Tour provides students a unique opportunity to visit colleges and universities and interact with currently enrolled college students, and college and university representatives, as well as admissions and financial aid counselors. Students learn about admissions requirements and qualifications, and talk with currently enrolled students about the decisions they have made while preparing for and pursuing a post secondary education.


The Annual College Tour is open to students enrolled in ninth through twelfth grades with a 2.5 (or higher) Grade Point Average. Participating students must perform the minimum prescribed prerequisite hours of approved community service .

Benefits of the Tour

Touring students learn practical and applicable skills in financial management and leadership. They gain independence, experience, and develop enormously valuable interpersonal skills. The students on tour learn how to work with others, discover their own personal strengths and weaknesses, and practice effective communication and problem solving skills. These are essential qualities, which help students prepare to be productive citizens in tomorrow's America.

Requirements on Tour

Students are required to: (1) Employ creative thinking and keep a journal (provided by PATT), detailing their experience and chronicling their ideas, thoughts, hopes and dreams for their future. (2) Interact effectively with other students, chaperones a
